The Games and Online Harassment Hotline is a free, confidential text-message based hotline that provides emotional support for anyone who makes or plays games. In partnership with some folks from the non-profit, I lead a team to create an application that gathered mental health resources and guided users through various exercises for their wellbeing.
Our main goal during the project was to remove blockers for the non-profit to establish a presence on the console - both from a coding perspective and a Partner Center navigation perspective. We developed a proof of concept application with examples of all of the various resources and activities that the non-profit needed and successfully flighted the application to the Microsoft Store.
This project won 1st place in the Mental Health Hackathon category.
